**Dallas Mercer Consulting Inc. (DMC) Director of Business Development**

Dallas Mercer Consulting Inc. (DMC) is a leader in disability management and safety programs, specializing in workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs for organizations across Canada since 2002. With a head office in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador, and satellite locations throughout Canada, DMC is an entrepreneurial, people-focused company passionate about combatting worklessness and helping their clients navigate the complexities of disability management.

Dallas Mercer Consulting Inc. is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader for the role of Director of Business Development. This individual will be responsible for driving DMC’s expansion into the Ontario market, developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, and building a high-performing team to support growth. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Director will contribute their business expertise to strategic decision-making and overall company direction.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Business Growth & Market Expansion: Aggressively drive DMC’s expansion in Ontario and the Western Provinces, identifying and closing high-value opportunities while reinforcing its strong reputation in Atlantic Canada.
- Sales Leadership & Execution: Operate as a true hunter—quickly learning the business, assessing client needs, and closing deals. Take ownership of the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to finalizing agreements.
- Value-Based Selling: Effectively communicate DMC’s impact, ensuring prospective clients understand how our services help manage disability claims, WCB rates, attendance, and return-to-work cases—delivering both financial and operational benefits.

- Strategic Partnerships & Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, positioning DMC as the go-to provider for businesses seeking help in managing disability claims, WCB rates, attendance, and return-to-work cases.
- Marketing & Brand Positioning: Leverage digital and traditional marketing strategies to generate leads, build brand awareness, and create a compelling presence in target markets.
- Proposal & Deal Closure: Manage and create new RFPs, and craft persuasive proposals and presentations that clearly outline DMC’s competitive advantage, ensuring high win rates in new business opportunities.
- CRM & Operational Integration: Ensure seamless CRM integration with other business systems, understanding the operational constraints that new business growth places on the company and working to optimize scalability.
- Leadership & Market Insights: Provide the senior leadership team with real-time market intelligence, competitor analysis, and business development strategies to inform decision-making and growth initiatives.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven Sales Leadership: At least six years of experience leading sales and business development in service industries, with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and close large deals.
- Hunter Mentality: A track record of aggressively pursuing new business, with the ability to quickly learn about clients’ needs and close deals—especially in complex, competitive environments like banking, professional services, or insurance.
- Industry Knowledge: While experience in disability management, healthcare, or workplace compensation is a plus, what matters most is the ability to quickly understand client challenges related to claims, WCB rates, attendance, and return-to-work cases.
- CRM Expertise: Solid experience with CRM systems, integrating them with other business systems to streamline sales processes, optimize lead generation, and drive sales efficiency.
- Strategic Thinking: A results-oriented mindset with the ability to align sales and marketing strategies with overall business goals, while also understanding and overcoming operational constraints to ensure scalable growth.
- Relationship Building & Negotiation: Exceptional ability to build relationships with key decision-makers and lead negotiations to close major contracts, bringing value to clients both financially and culturally.
- RFP & Proposal Experience: Proven experience in managing and creating RFPs, developing persuasive proposals, and effectively presenting solutions to secure new business.
- Communication & Organizational Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while consistently achieving sales targets.
