**THE POSITION**

Iron Maple Constructors is looking for a motivated and proactive **Human Resources Coordinator** to join our expanding team. This role will support various HR functions, with a key focus on recruitment, training, employee development, and managing HR initiatives. The Human Resources Coordinator will collaborate closely with senior management to ensure that HR processes and programs operate effectively while contributing to our ongoing growth and success. This position can be based in either our Dartmouth, NS or Sussex, NB Offices.
- _Recruitment:

- Lead campus recruiting activities at universities and colleges in Atlantic Canada, including active participation in networking events, career fairs, and building long-lasting relationships with key academic institutions.
- Take charge of the recruitment process for entry to mid-level salaried positions, assisting with the identification and selection of top talent for various roles across the company.
- Lead the recruitment for craft labour positions, from job postings to employee onboarding, helping to build a skilled workforce to meet project demands.
- Training:

- Work with senior management to assist in the development and delivery of technical and leadership training, coordinating both in-house training activities and 3rd party training for employees.
- Work with our Safety Manager and support the management and administration of safety training for employees, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- HR Initiatives:

- Work closely with senior management to assist in the development and implementation of key human resource initiatives, particularly in the areas of new employee onboarding and performance management.
- Support the administration of the organization's group health benefits program, including adding new employees, addressing questions on benefit coverage, and supporting the renewal process.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records and files related to employee documentation, contracts, certifications, and safety compliance.
- Assist with the organization and coordination of employee appreciation events or recognition programs.
- Improve Iron Maple’s employer brand by effectively managing our social media presence.
- Maintain budget for assigned programs and initiatives.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Completion of a University Degree, College Diploma, or Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management.
- 2-4 years previous Human Resources experience, preferably in a coordinator or recruitment-specific role.
- Experience in recruitment, employee training, and program management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Able to work independently or in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and the ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
- Good networking skills with the ability to develop and maintain HR networks.
- Familiarity with safety programs and training compliance in a construction environment is an asset.

Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year
