The Conservatory front desk administrative team is a small, dedicated group of 5 or 6 staff who collaborate each day to support our wonderful students and faculty. Under the supervision of the Registrar, this position requires an energetic, friendly, patient, and resourceful person to serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, clients, and faculty.
**Please note, this position will be primarily based at our Westhills location (210 - 1314 Lakepoint Way). At times, you may be required to travel to our Downtown location (900 Johnson Street).**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Providing excellent internal and external customer service
- Registration of students
- Management of student accounts (processing payments, adjusting enrollments as needed)
- Answering phones and addressing and/or directing callers accordingly
- Assisting the administrative and management staff as needed
- General reporting of student accounts and registration
- Production of signage, programs, and posters as needed
- Processing of point-of-sale items, including miscellaneous sales and Box Office tickets
- Day-end cash-out and depositing
- Practice room allocation
**Strengths and Skills**:
- Ability to multi-task and exercise good judgment when prioritizing assigned duties
- Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with management
- Ability to exhibit a professional and positive attitude with a commitment to quality service, including professional and clear communication
- Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to adapt quickly to new computer programs
- Ability to complete time-sensitive assignments with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, remaining calm and focused during high-volume registration periods
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Recent experience working in an educational or office environment
- Preference given to those with a post-secondary credential
- Music background and/or formal education an asset
**Other**:
Potential to include Front of House Coordinator shifts: managing volunteer ushers, handling ticket sales, and overseeing Venue traffic and entrance control.
Pay: $21.00 per hour
