Overnight Residence Worker

Join our team as a Part Time **Residence Worker **working at our new staffed residence in North Delta. This permanent part-time role works Saturday and Sunday (11:00pm - 7:00am) at a salary range between $21.63 - 25.19. This position requires union membership.

**About the Opportunity**
As a part-time Overnight Residence Worker, you will work 16 hours per week at our residential home in North Delta. You will be actively engaging supported individuals to live a fulfilling and independent life. You are a motivated and personable individual with a passion to deliver person-centered supports. You assist with their physical, social, emotional, educational and recreational needs. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Following an individual care plan.
- Ensuring clients safety overnight.
- Charting activities and observations in the client’s file and communication log.
- Recognizing, analyzing and dealing with potential emergency situations ensuring no harm comes to the client and/or the public.
- Reporting concerns to the supervisor.
- Food preparation and cooking as needed, and
- Medicine administration.
**Must be physically healthy to aid in lifting and transferring of persons served and be able to provide personal care including toileting and grooming.**
**Qualifications**:
- 2-5 years recent related experience, preferably working in a staffed residence with persons with developmental and/or physical disabilities.
- Diploma/degree in a field related to Human Sciences or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Valid Class 4 Driver’s License.
- FOODSAFE Level 1
- Emergency First Aid & CPR
- MANDT Training
- **Must be available during the day for training.**
