**GSS Delta View Care Centre has an opening for a full-time (FTE: 1.0) Social Worker.**
- **Monday - Friday 0830 - 1630**

**DUTIES**:
Under the direction of the Care Manager, the Social Worker in conjunction with the health care team; provides clinical social work services to the Residents and families within established policies and procedures. You will interview new Residents and their families to ensure appropriate counseling on related issues affecting adjustment to institutional care. Participate and consult with other members of the Care Team, to ensure multidisciplinary care planning and interventions are in place. You help plan, develop, implement, organize and participate in family support groups. You are the liaison for related community health agencies and support organizations to provide assistance to Residents and their families. Maintain appropriate clinical records, statistics and Resident health records. You participate in Care Conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings. You maintain confidentiality while carrying out responsibilities. You must practice under the Social Worker Code of Ethics for the province of BC. Submit a monthly report to Leadership, regarding Social Work interactions, assessments and intervention for the Residents and family members.

**QUALIFICATIONS & ABILITIES**:
You must have a B.S.W. or M.S.W. from an accredited school of Social Work. You are required to have current registration with the B.C. Associated of Social Workers. Two years’ recent related work experience preferred. You are a strong communicator; effectively communicates both verbally and in writing. You have strong interpersonal skills and are able to deal with others effectively. You can organize your work and prioritize conflicting demands. You are able to operate related equipment. You can willingly work in cooperation with others in the interdisciplinary team and help facilitate team

leadership.
