**Financial Administrator St. John Brebeuf School Inc.**

Reporting to the Principal with a functional reporting to the School Board, the Financial Administrator is responsible for administering payroll (including pension and benefit plans for 40 employees), full cycle bookkeeping, and ensuring that the annual budget (forecast) is maintained. The Financial Administrator for the school works independently on accounting matters of a diverse scope, including preparation of financial reports detailing the following: assets, liabilities, revenue, expenses, and capital. Prepares monthly financial reports including the following: balance sheet, cashflow and profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize and interpret the current and projected financial position for use by the Principal and the School Board. Maintains a balanced general ledger and provides financial analysis as required by the Principal and School Board. Prepares tax receipt issuing and registration. Assists the Principal and the School Board in the creation and maintenance of yearly financial forecasting documents. Assists in the provision and discussion of information to auditors including the provincial reporting requirements. Assists the Principal with administration duties as required.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

Required:

- Holds a degree in Accounting and/ or Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Has a minimum of three years of experience in an accounting role
- Effective communication skills with customers and individuals at all levels of an organization
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis and reasoning
- Ability to adapt and learn new software
- Knowledge of Quickbooks, Excel, MS Word, Payworks, and Outlook

References from at least three different people are required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
