Production Coordinator

**1. JOB PURPOSE**:
As a member of Fix Auto’s production team, a Production Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the auto body process is seamless, and the production staff are supported in their roles.

The Production Coordinator is responsible to oversee the production staff while ensuring targets are met. Distributing jobs to the overall back end shop, the Production Coordinator acts as the coordinator between all back end departments to oversee the entire operation. The Production Coordinator will have strong attention to detail skills to ensure quality of all products, and have the ability to creatively strategize new initiatives for the team.

Fitting in with our positive and fast paced work environment, the Production Coordinator must be highly organized, able to think outside of the box, prioritize ever changing tasks, communicate clearly and timely, and most importantly, foster an environment for growth and success. Being able to handle stress in a calm manner, proactively finding solutions rather than acting in a reactive state, and coach employees through challenges is crucial.

**3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Leadership**
- Provide leadership to all production departments
- Effectively communicate tasks and timelines to all members of the production team
- Troubleshoot challenges and find solutions for delays in the production process
- Encourage growth, strong communication, and quality
- Host production meetings and reward employees for successes
- Challenge employees to grow within themselves and the autobody process
- Approve timecards

**General Duties**
- Manage production team to achieve cycle time targets respecting parts management and customer/insurance partner expectations (i.e. cycle time, touch time, and length of rental).
- Ensure quality and safety standards are being met and followed at all times
- Monitor repair orders to maximize efficiency and gross profits
- Oversee damage report, repair orders and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
- Monitor parts and material usage
- Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts and supplies
- Accurate completion of work orders and time cards
- Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation
- Act as support and backfill for all blueprinting duties

**Continuous Improvement**
- Coach junior employees and encourage collaborative work between employees
- Maintain a working knowledge of new technology and process improvements to implement
- Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to OH&S Standards
- Encourage growth through the use of third party training
- Work with owners to ensure all initiatives align with company goals

**4. WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Employees may be required to work in potentially hazardous environments requiring personal protective equipment
- Employees may be exposed to dust, hazardous chemicals and high levels of noise
- Employees may be exposed to uncomfortable work settings; may have long combinations of standing, crouching, or sitting
- Repetitive tasks within a fast-paced environment
- Overtime as required

**5. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE**:
**EDUCATION**
- Journeyman Certificate (Desirable)

**EXPERIENCE**
- 3-5 years experience in the auto body industry (desirable)
- Leadership experience in a similar role (desirable)

**SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE**
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service and professionalism skills
- Highly knowledge of the auto body industry and vehicle damage
- Ability to lead a team of multiple personalities
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Highly organized
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all times
