Job Description:
**1.Reception responsibilities**:
Greet and register arriving patients. Verify and update patient information, link family member charts. Manage patient waiting area including filling rooms. Phones
- answers incoming calls, books patients, redirects calls/messages. Confirms patient appointments as required. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments. Receive and processes payments for incoming forms. Faxing forms and documents. **Ensure patient confidentiality.**

**2. MOA responsibilities**:
Perform eye exams, height and weight. Set up excisions and procedures. Refresh and clean exam rooms between patients. Restock exam rooms. Provide administrative support to the physicians. Sterilize instruments using the autoclave and follow sterilization procedures.

**3. Clerical responsibilities**:
Processes incoming and outgoing mail. Submit referrals, diagnostic imaging and lab forms, and other as required by fax or e-fax. Monitors incoming faxes. Scanning of documents/new patient charts. Confirms referral receipt with specialist offices. Manage chart transfer requests.

**Qualifications: Education and Experience**:
Previous related experience in a medical office environment an asset. Previous experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) an asset but not essential. MOA training and equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

**Job Skills and Demonstrated Abilities**:
Knowledge of medical terminology. **Strong computer skills.** Ability to effectively operate a switchboard/phone system. Ability to prioritize and perform a variety of tasks under pressure. Strong problem solving skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to interact effectively with patients and health care providers

**Personal Attributes**:
Organized and efficient. Professional, courteous, respectful, empathic and helpful. Self motivated. Ability to multi-task.

**Working Conditions**:
Clinical patient environment.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
