Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
Verifies information in the patient medical record

Manages patient waiting area and keeps patients informed of any delays

Assists with coordination of referrals to specialists, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory testing and

Conveys pertinent information to the patient.

Prepares reports, letters and general correspondence as required

Provides general administrative support to the office health care providers

Maintains effective communications with physicians and co-workers

Orders and re-stocks office and clinical medical supplies

Maintains a clean and orderly workstation and patient waiting area

Assists with the cleaning and maintenance of equipment and stocking/refreshing of exam rooms

Coordinates OR Bookings

Complete sterilization process daily, as well as complete the weekly and monthly maintenance

Scan/process new patient charts

Assists with switchboard when necessary

Other related duties as may be assigned

Chek rooms are fully stocked

Call patients to confirm long appointments (e.g. pap’s/cpx/medicals/more than one person with same phone number) for next day for all doctors. (Preferably do this in the morning except for on Mondays)

Wash, wrap and label instruments for sterilization. Wash peri bowls and ear flush kits as necessary.

Do weight and height of patients when necessary (CPX, diabetic, triples, some pre-ops, some forms, new patients)

Do urinalysis dips, pregnancy tests and record on lab requisition.

Chaperone pap/physicals (female). Set up pap tray (the way he likes it).

Be prepared to look for lab results, x-ray results, and incoming letters if needed.

Clean out his recycling bin as needed

Attach To come in reports to correct chart

Stock bathroom with toilet paper, paper towels and soap

Stationary order and Medical supply order

Classic Printers order (prescription pads)

Nurses Billing and Billing 13005’s for all doctors

**Experience**:

- Administrative tasks within a medical or dental office setting
- Working with electronic medical records systems
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Operating phone systems

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 75 per week
