Head of Compliance RESPONSIBILITIES - Monitor amendments to new regulations and legislation and report such developments to the business and executive management. - Research trends and developments in international regulatory and risk-based best practices and approaches. - Liaise with internal corporate governance and external regulators, as required. - Perform compliance monitoring and testing activities and report to the Management Committee. - Research legal and regulatory issues for business units and provide guidance and assistance to business units and departments. - Serve as a resource for compliance-related questions that arise from a variety of sources. - Lead all Regulatory Compliance matters for LiveVie. Lead reporting into the broader Compliance Committee with a reporting line into the CEO of LiveVie for LiveVie compliance. - Develop and maintain business-wide compliance policies and procedures related to all compliance matters including Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM), Privacy, Anti - Money Laundering, and Anti-Terrorist Financing. - Act as a "designated officer" in accordance with anti-money laundering legislation and a "senior officer" (CAMLO) as defined in OSFI Guideline B-8. Design, develop, implement, and maintain the AML/ATF Program for LiveVie. - Conduct enterprise-wide educational sessions with respect to relevant legislation and regulatory guidance ensuring best compliance practices and that Canadian regulatory standards are met. - Provide specific colleague training and work with the business functions to ensure awareness and understanding of the Canadian regulatory and reporting obligations. - Facilitate Canadian federal and provincial filings to ensure that regulatory licenses with regulatory and governmental authorities are in order. QUALIFICATIONS - 10+ years of experience in compliance with at least 5+ years in a leadership/management position - Strong understanding of financial products in the Canadian market - Relevant designations such as CAMS preferred - Post-Secondary Degree in Business, Economics, or similar - Subject matter expert on Canadian Regulatory and reporting obligations Our Offer: Joining LiveVie will allow you to embark on a great journey with career development in a respected FinTech Startup (Canada First, USA Second).
