About us:
Their main duties are to inform travellers about different destinations, travel restrictions, and costs; book trips for them, and ensure they understand what travel documents are needed for the upcoming journey.
Travel Agent duties and responsibilities
Travel Agents are responsible for ensuring their clients are completely satisfied with their travel bookings. Some day-to-day duties of a Travel Agent include:
- Provide all relevant information on travel destinations
- Book tickets, hotels, and rental cars
- Organize accommodations and ground transportation services
- Recommend travel tips to ensure safety
- Find the best possible rates on travel bookings for their clients
- Facilitate travel for multi-destination trips
- Ensure passengers understand which travel documents will be needed
- Advise and plan group travel
Qualifications...
Minimum 3+ years of luxury vacation travel experience and located in British Columbia
Completion of the Travel + Tourism program or similar
Excellent communication skills in English
Self-motivated and the ability to work independently and within a team
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a varied workload while also taking advantage of the slow periods to work on your own clientele
Must be organized
- Good understanding of Galileo’s Travelport/Smartpoint, Sabre, Amadeus or Worldspan. TRAMS back office (or similar) and lastly ClientBase (or similar)
Ability to work well under pressure with mínimal supervision
I’m not sure why we even have to say this, as it is a given - PC or MAC skills - Microsoft products (word, excel, outlook, etc.)
