WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage and maintain both digital and paper-based records to:
- Enable the HR team to readily access documentation
- Ensure privacy and legislative compliance
- Prepare for audit requirements
- Coordinate updates for payroll; work closely with HR and Finance to communicate twice-monthly payroll changes and to play an active role in improving processes through the adoption of digital improvements
- Administer Canadian benefits and act as the liaison between our benefit providers, employees and internal teams as needed
- Assist with onboarding employees in the form of seating plan, workstation setup and shipment of new hire packages
- Assist with the updating and maintenance of human resources policies
- Support general employee relations but respond to inquiries and escalate issues
- Provide other employee HR program support as time allows
WHAT YOU HAVE
- University or college level degree, preferably with an HR or with a business focus
- An intuitive nature and ability to understand how people tick
- Strong interest in improving efficiencies through use of technology
- Experience in an office environment; MS Office Suite and other office productivity software
- A desire to solve problems, and ensure customer satisfaction
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a great sense of humour
- Attention to detail; enjoys keeping everything in order
- Willing to try new approaches and learn from mistakes
- Ability to work remotely and collaboratively across all levels in the organization
