**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and creating a positive influence in their lives? We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic **Cook Assistant** to join our dedicated team. Monday to Friday, 8:30am-1:30pm. As an integral part of our childcare community, you will play a crucial role in creating a warm, nurturing environment that fosters healthy eating habits and a love for nutritious food.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Delivering nutritious lunches and snacks
- Maintaining a clean/safe kitchen, sanitizing all equipment, materials and kitchen related items.
- Dish washing and hand washing procedures, followed in accordance with Health Department regulations
- Performing duties, as laid out by the Cook
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for a prolonged period of time

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must have food handlers’ certificate
- Knowledge of the Canada’s Food Guide

**MINISTRY REQUIREMENTS**:

- 2 Step TB
- Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
