**How you will contribute**

You will direct and plan daily workload activities to optimize operational effectiveness and drive a safe, productive work environment while exceeding customer expectations based on accuracy, timeliness and internal/external service.

As Warehouse Lead Hand you will:

- Supervise & coordinate and schedule all worker’s activities
- Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are followed and that Key Performance Indicators are achieved by the team
- Plan and actively monitor the progress of daily activities for areas of responsibility
- Train staff on all job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
- Perform System and Manual Clerical/Administrative duties as required for the completion of all planned daily workload/objectives.
- Ensure workers understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Investigate accidents, complete accident reports, and ensure preventive actions are implemented
- Perform audits (shipping / receiving loads) in accordance with Company standards.
- Supporting forklift crew to stage all materials to production accordingly if required.
- Drive the day-to-day activities to ensure the accuracy, governance, and maintenance of SOPs.
- Strong knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Resolve work issues and recommend measures to improve productivity
- Identify areas of Improvement in support of Operational Excellence initiatives in collaboration with the Warehouse Manager
- Manage all Material Handling Equipment Safety and Compliance
- Follow the standard practices related to food safety and food defense policies along with GMPs and ensure it is adhered to by warehouse staff
- Participate in training and comply with the requirements of: SQF Code, Food Safety and Quality Policy Statement, HACCP Prerequisite Programs, Food Safety Finished Product Handling, Good Manufacturing Practices / Good Distribution Practices, Reporting Food Safety Incidents and related food safety and quality training as well ensuring compliance for direct/indirect reports
- Responsible for the Cross Communication between shifts and departments to ensure an efficient and effective flow of CRITICAL/NON-CRITICAL information to ensure a high level of performance.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Ensure all security policies and procedures are followed.
- Performs other duties as required
- Ensure all personnel comprehend safety regulations according to OSHA regulations to include safety classes given weekly

- Forklift license required
- Capable of taking initiative and can work with mínimal supervision in a team environment.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide a productive team.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, WMS system.
- Strong written and verbal communication and competent listener.
- Ability to excel and make quality decisions in a fast-paced, deadline driven and demanding environment with strong attention to detail.
- Effective organizational skills, ability to manage time and prioritize tasks appropriately.

**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to lift, up to 50lbs
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and standing for an extended period.
