Busy, family-owned management company in the Fraser Valley is looking for an experienced resident Maintenance Manager for a new 192-unit rental complex located in Abbotsford, BC

Our Live-In Maintenance Manager is a company representative for all maintenance and operations for our residents and customers. Developing and maintaining the property to high standards and fostering good relationships with residents is the top priority.

As a Maintenance Manager your daily responsibilities would include:

- Ensuring the safety and security of the building and its residents through regular inspection and walk through.
- Building positive relationships with tenants, and promptly responding to their concerns;
- Ensuring and maintaining outstanding cleanliness at the buildings and the grounds;
- Performing suite and building repairs such as fixing leaky faucets, clearing drains, changing locks, minor drywall repair/patching, painting etc.;
- Trouble shooting and problem-solving unexpected emergencies.
- Daily rounds of the property inside and out to ensure security standards are met for residents.
- Working co-operatively with the Leasing Manager to ensure suites are ready to show soon after move outs have occurred and deficiencies attended to in quick order - ready for new move ins.
- Ensuring that tenants are adhering to building guidelines and providing notification when required.
- Working effectively with the Property Manager by providing regular updates.
- Suite Inspections, Notices and other related inspections as required.
- Preventative maintenance.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Ability to manage customer expectations, provide outstanding customer service, and form effective, trustworthy relationships with a wide variety of people;
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- Effective time management skills and the attitude for “making it happen” and “getting it done”
- Proven “handy-man” skills, including plumbing, minor electrical, drywall repair, carpentry and painting
- Ability to understand and abide by the BC Residential Tenancy Act;
- The ability to understand a situation from someone else’s perspective, the ability to help them understand your perspective, and the ability to influence a positive outcome keeping a calm demeanor at all times;
- Minimum one year experience as a Resident Building Manager is an asset.
- Being bondable and providing a criminal record check.

As a Resident Maintenance Manager, with on-site training and collaboration with other staff, you will manage your own hours and prioritize tasks throughout the month. You will be required to be available to respond to emergencies as required.
