**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The primary role of the Maintenance Supervisor is to ensure that the maintenance plan is carried out on schedule, and that consistent service quality and integrity are maintained during the manufacturing process and preventative maintenance. The Maintenance Supervisor directly supervises and coordinates Vitalus Nutrition Inc. Maintenance Technicians in a manner that fosters safety and creates engagement and productivity within the team and the facility.

The secondary role of this position is to assist the Maintenance Manager in identifying and improving operational effectiveness and efficiency within all aspects of maintenance in the Vitalus Nutrition facility.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS**
- Maximize function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment.
- Develop maintenance activities plan and coordinate daily work orders, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement projects.
- In collaboration with the Maintenance Planner assign and prioritize WOs and PMs, and communicate WO requirements with maintenance technicians daily to determine completion target dates.
- Develop and maintain a high-performance, team-based, respectful, safe, and healthy work environment.
- Provide leadership, direction, coaching, training, and communicating job expectations to the maintenance team.
- Share personal knowledge and skills to train and develop the competence of staff.
- Manage performance, attendance & discipline of the maintenance team in collaboration with the Manager.
- Respond to routine maintenance issues including troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues; support and contribute to the preventive maintenance programs, operate, and test systems and equipment, restore, repair, rebuild, or replace faulty or inoperative components and parts.
- Ensure the accuracy of the PM database in all the Vitalus operating systems.
- Arrange for outside support and service as needed.
- Contribute to the writing and review of standard operating procedures and standard work documentation for maintenance processes and tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety and food safety standards at the workplace.

**COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills, Ability)**

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to communicate one-on-one and in group settings.
- Problem solver with solid analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot as the need arises. Involves staff in the decision-making process.
- Ability to coordinate small projects with Suppliers and Contractors as required.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as an Industrial Mechanic, Millwright or Electrician or a combination of education and years of Food Industry manufacturing work experience in the trade or in Maintenance Supervision/Management.
- Preferably class 4 or 3 Power Engineering certificate (or in the process of certification).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Proven ability to supervise and lead Maintenance Teams.
- Proven record of safety and work performance.
- Computer literacy: the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, Teams and FIIX (CMMS).

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
