**Job Description**:
**POSTIION PURPOSE**

Reporting to the Program Manager Waste Operations and Optimization and under the guidance and direction of Project Coordinators; is responsible for coordinating activities related to contracts with various contractors; monitoring data and specifications related to contract compliance; completing assigned projects related to the business needs of the unit; coordinating training and special events; compiling data related to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, including ensuring consistent documentation across waste management facilities; and assisting with invoice and tonnage reconciliation tasks in collaboration with Project Coordinators.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coordinates with various contractors and suppliers to ensure services and supplies to support waste operations; analyzes data and information to determine quality and supply of service by contractors; searches out new supply, and pricing options for waste management.
- Tracks data collected at waste management facilities to ensure compliance with ISO registration as well as steward funded programs.
- Coordinates training activities and maintains tracking and training sign-off records in compliance with ISO policies and procedures.
- Reviews information to update and assist with maintenance of training manuals, processes and procedures.
- Reviews operating procedures; makes recommendations or improvements to procedures.
- Plans, coordinates and organizes projects, events, training sessions and meetings; coordinates the bi-annual Local Municipal Operations Committee Meeting including site tours at various facilities.
- Responds to inquiries and resolves concerns, as appropriate.
- Signs off on manifests related to waste movement, as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Successful completion of a College Diploma in Environmental Studies/Sciences, Business or a related field, approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in waste management, including contract coordination processing and interpretation; analysis of data; coordination of administrative processes, events and projects.
- Knowledge of the waste management industry and environment related to waste facilities.
- Knowledge of and experience with ISO systems.
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer focus, communication, collaboration and personal ownership.
