What you’ll be doing

Authentication is the start of every client interaction at CIBC, whether that is self-service in digital or with a CIBC representative in the contact centres or banking centres. Being able to achieve a secure and seamless client experience is critical to CIBC’s strategy to make clients’ ambitions a reality.

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for shaping the fundamental experience that enables clients access their accounts across different lines of businesses. The team’s mandate is broad - you will be working across our digital, contact centre, and banking centre channels to create exceptional client journeys.

Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Client Authentication, you’ll be joining a client-centric and security-focused product team that is modernizing Client Authentication across CIBC. Using “Security by Design” principles, you will develop our authentication roadmap to enable an exceptional client experience. You will identify and prioritize the key authentication capabilities and services, manage interdependencies, and be part of a cross functional team to drive initiatives from concepts to delivery.
- At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote._

How you’ll succeed
- Client focus - You are the Voice of the Client and Voice of the Business so you must advocate for solutions that align with the business objectives while ensuring a smooth transition through effective stakeholder engagement and change management activities.
- Solid communication skills - Prepare clear documentation consisting of user stories, narratives, client journeys, and data/process flow diagrams to clearly depict the business vision and accelerate development with our partners.
- Organization and prioritization skills - Handle multi-tasking, balancing and prioritizing a number of deliverables, processes and problems in a fast-paced work environment.
- Problem Solving - Able to think in a structured way when solving problems and organizing work, and can analyze data/situations fully and accurately to guide or reach productive decisions.
- Relationship building - Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to manage key relationships with a variety of groups including technology, architecture and business partners.

Who you are
- You can demonstrate knowledge and experience in fraud management, strategy, and/or delivering technical products/platforms.
- You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information and have excellent analytical skills with emphasis on data interpretation and risk management.
- You embrace and champion change. You'll continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best.
- You act like an owner. You thrive when you're empowered to take the lead, go above and beyond, and deliver results.
