**Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm**

We are currently looking for a **Front Desk Team Lead Concierge **for our building in **Burnaby, BC.**

**Job Summary**

As a Team Lead, Concierge, you are responsible for being the primary contact and source of information and services for the residence and their guests, responsible for greeting all guests with a warm smile and doing the utmost to ensure that residents are provided with a high standard of Concierge service

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provides on-going training and advice to concierge staff. This includes providing orientation to new associates. Escalates any significant performance problems to the Area Manager.
- Continually updates Standard Operating Procedures to ensure best practices are maintained and communicated.
- Maintain a constant presence in the lobby. Whenever possible, assist residents and their guests in a positive friendly manner.
- Develop and foster a friendly, courteous atmosphere amongst the workplace, staff, and guests.
- Report and respond to resident’s requests, complaints, and comments promptly.
- Be familiar with emergency procedures and equipment such as the operation of the fire panel, fire equipment, location of water, gas, and electrical shut-off mechanisms, etc.
- Assist as required in a positive manner with service and tradesmen for property services and ensure contractors attend to work as required (common areas only).
- Ensure the property is secure by completing visitor checks, patrols, and liaising with the security services provided to the property(s)
- Maintain weekly schedules and other documentation as required using the applicable computer programs such as Microsoft excel and word.
- Be familiar with all the building amenities, including locations of lockers, parking stalls, bicycle storage areas, and recreational facilities/amenities.
- Ensure that the common areas (and particularly the lobby and driveway) are kept clean.
- Resolve complaints or issues that have been escalated by concierge staff.
- Assist the Area Manager with supervision of on-site staff as required.
- Assist Strata Manager as directed

**Education and Experience**
- Previous experience in the service industry, preferably in hospitality, is required.
- Previous experience as a Concierge is considered an asset

**Knowledge, Skills and Proficiencies**
- Exceptional communications skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic budgeting, scheduling and time-keeping skills
- Ability to analyze problems and develop appropriate solutions
- Ability to give appropriate feedback to associates
- Excellent listening skills and an empathetic personality
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving ability
- Comfort with technology; basic computer skills
- Mandarin/Cantonese an asset

**Physical Requirements / Working Environment**
- Constant walking and monitoring of building premises
- Use of computer equipment to produce documents
