Civil Project Coordinator

Fontaine Site Services is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team. We pride ourselves in offering the best earth and civil works services to our clients, while maintaining a safe and friendly work environment to our employees.
The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning, supervision and execution of construction projects under the supervision of the Project Manager. Other major tasks include but are not limited to record keeping for construction schedules, as-built drawings, material ordering (purchase orders), documenting contract change orders and required Health and Safety documentation.
**Responsibilities**:
- Overseeing project details and obtain permits
- Supports the site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) program through participation in worksite inspections, the worksite observation program, safety meetings, etc.
- Negotiating with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors
- Coordinating request for information (RFI), Change Orders, Site instructions, etc.
- Assist with review and processing of invoices and progress claims, and assistance with the review of documents and inquiries as needed..
- Review project drawings, specifications, and reports
- Perform project setups, distribute project documents, and manage and coordinate project contracts
- Coordinate procurement process, draft and prepare contracts, and track changes and additions to contractual agreements.
- General and administrative duties as required by the construction team.
- Work closely under the guidance and direction of Project Manager and Superintendent
- Monitor work on site, to ensure compliance with owner's standards, design procedures, contract specifications and building codes;
- Assist Project Manager and Superintendent, where applicable, in the day to day duties of contract administration;
- Facilitate ongoing communications with the client, trades and consultants
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree or post-secondary training in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- 3-5 years of experience on large heavy civil projects
- Knowledge of reading shop drawings, review shop drawings in conjunction with design drawings, specifications
- Proficient with Google Drive
- Experience with/knowledge of Bluebeam and/or AutoCAD would be considered an asset
- Strong work ethic
- Collaborative attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Exceptional organization skills and high attention to detail
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Valid driver license is mandatory
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, project teams and sub trades
- Strong knowledge of construction specifications, methods and procedures
- Working knowledge of scheduling, estimating and subcontracts
- Not suitable for students or those not currently residing in the BC lower mainland.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
