Metro Vancouver Regional District, Canada Civil Contracting Company Full time

We are an established Electrical and Civil Contractor that is looking for an experienced Lead Foreman to join our growing company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identify potential cost savings and streamline field methodologies.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to review projects.
- Maintain construction schedule of project.
- Track costs associated with the project, review with project budget.
- Manage labour and sub trades while implementing design specifics.
- Be accountable for the team as a whole. Possess problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Track progress, analyze design conflicts, provide solutions when design conflicts arise.
- Ensure team has appropriate tools and equipment, and that they are in good repair.
- Establish dialogue and report with customer engineers and city representatives.

Experience
- Must have related civil and electrical construction experience, grade knowledge
- 2+ years of experience as a Lead Hand or Foreman with a solid understanding of all aspects of civil and electrical works.
- Strong mentoring and leadership skills - ability to communicate, coach and train all members of the crew while delegating various responsibilities.
- Able to work alongside management and superintendents to plan upcoming jobs and procure the necessary tools and equipment.
- First aid, confined spaced, ground disturbance and fall protection training is an asset.
- Must be able to interact with professionalism and courtesy with all clients and members of the public.
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather, along with additional hours as needed (possibly weekends)
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Drivers License with satisfactory drivers abstract.
