**Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent. You will be part of a rapidly growing group with room to grow within the company. This role reports directly to the General Superintendent.**

The Civil Superintendent oversees daily field operations, co-ordinates with owners and contractors, and organizes crews and sub-contractors. This role provides overall civil construction supervision, including review of design and adherence to the project budget, overall site safety, and ensuring projects are managed according to the schedule and specifications. Consistent and reliable communication with the General Superintendent and the Operations team is expected.

Further, this role is integral in developing and maintaining the operational requirements of the organization to increase revenue and accommodate for growth and increased productivity. The Civil Superintendent is responsible for coaching and mentoring of direct reports, and continually promoting a culture of safety, collaboration and growth.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining construction compliance with design requirements and the project construction schedule by supervising and coordinating site trades, supervising site and all other construction activities.
- Provide overall construction supervision including review of design for constructability, adherence to project specifications and schedule with a focus to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
- Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing progression and ensure that solid, long term relationships are maintained.
- Mentor crew members to ensure career growth and maintain a team focused environment with a focus on safety.
- Provide daily progress reports to the General Superintendent.
- Ensuring daily, weekly and monthly reporting and paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Review and manage crew time and required paperwork (timesheets, truck logs, etc.) are submitted to head office in appropriate time frames.

- Adept at managing multiple projects and competing priorities.

**Experience & Education**:

- You have a minimum of 5 years experience in the role of a Civil Superintendent (roads/highways, site work, underground utilities, excavation, etc.), or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience working on civil projects.
- You have an advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and engineering drawings.

Starting salary of $150K+
Company truck, iPad/laptop and phone provided.
3 weeks vacation

10 hours shifts Monday to Friday, with some weekend work if required.
