Office Assistant, Maintenance Services
**Location**: 1224 Stittsville Main Street
**Status**: Regular, 100%, 12 month work year
**Hours of Work**: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
**Salary range**: ESP Level 4 - $34,882 to $44,561 annually
**SUMMARY**:
Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Maintenance Services in the Facilities Department, and administrative direction of the Office Administrator, the Office Assistant assists in providing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. Duties include word-processing, photocopying, scanning, faxing and distributing correspondence, forms and other documents; maintaining filing systems, responds to and direct general inquiries and / or relaying messages, ordering and distributing supplies; administering financial accounts, tracks and processes invoices.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**:
Completion of secondary school graduation diploma, and 6 to 12 months related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
General knowledge of Board policies and procedures;
Interpersonal and communication skills in order to provide clarification, explanation and information on maintenance inquiries to Board personnel.
Organization and time management skills required to organize tasks and meet deadlines.
Initiative and judgment to action routine matters,
Work independently and with minimum supervision.
Ability to operate basic office equipment such as printer, scanner/photocopier and fax machine.
Accounting skills to maintain budget records and transactions.
Ability to use tact, diplomacy as well as being a team player.
