**BrainBox AI **utilizes self-adapted artificial intelligence technology to proactively optimize the energy consumption of one of the largest climate change contributors: Buildings. Our AI engine supports a self-operating building that requires no human intervention. Using deep learning, cloud-based computing, and our proprietary process, our solution autonomously optimizes existing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control systems for maximum impact on energy consumption.

**What you will do**
- Manage the overall revenue cycle in a diligent and timely fashion
- Review and interpret contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition under IFRS and to manage contract exceptions and adjustments
- Ensure data accuracy in the accounting system (customer card, product and service items, customer projects list, etc.)
- Coordinate with the Sales and Implementation teams to resolve billing issues and ensure accurate invoicing and revenue recognition
- Prepare and submit invoices to clients in a timely and accurate manner
- Record and reconcile billing transactions in the accounting software
- Communicate with clients to ensure payment is received in a timely manner
- Monitor client accounts for payment discrepancies and resolve billing issues
- Prepare and record revenue recognition entries and monthly reconciliation of deferred revenue
- Validate, reconcile and analyze actual revenue results vs forecasted and historical results
- Ensure sales tax compliance and prepare sales taxes returns in the different jurisdictions
- Answer clients and internal stakeholders questions on billing and revenue
- Provide support for various audits requirements
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve data accuracy, as well as departmental processes and efficiency
- Support the Finance team in day-to-day operations and ad-hoc projects

**What you will need to be successful**
- Bachelor of Commerce, Administration or equivalent experience;
- 5 years of working in a similar role;
- Proven experience with generally accepted accounting principles;
- Managing end to end revenue cycle;
- Experience in a start-up and/or SaaS environment (an asset);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (French and English);
- Experience in a multi-jurisdiction / multi-company / multi-currency environment;
- Intermediate Excel skills, proficiency with rest of Microsoft Office suite and accounting software;
- Strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills and attention to detail;
- Team player with a positive attitude who works well in a fast-paced environment.

**Vos tâches**
- Gérer le cycle de revenus global avec diligence et dans les délais
- Examiner et interpréter les contrats pour garantir une comptabilisation des produits appropriée en vertu des normes internationales d’information financière ainsi que pour gérer les exceptions et les ajustements aux contrats
- Garantir l’exactitude des données dans le système de comptabilité (cartes des clients, produits et services, liste de projets clients, etc.)
- Collaborer avec les équipes chargées des ventes et de la mise en œuvre pour résoudre les problèmes de facturation ainsi que pour garantir la précision de la facturation et de la comptabilisation des produits
- Préparer rigoureusement les factures et les soumettre aux clients en temps opportun
- Enregistrer et rapprocher les transactions facturées dans le logiciel de comptabilité
- Communiquer avec les clients pour s’assurer que le paiement est reçu en temps opportun
- Surveiller les écarts de paiement dans les comptes des clients et
