Financial Leader

**Role and Responsibilities** The Finance Leader will join the SkyAlyne team and will be supported by CAE Defence and Security Business (D&S Canada). The Finance Leader will play a key business partner role within the SkyAlyne company - with majority focus on the Mission and Operation segment. The main areas of responsibility include supporting major bids and proposals, financial forecasting, planning, business performance tracking and involvement in strategic initiatives. The Finance Leader role will also include monthly and quarterly financial reporting requirements. : - Actively involved in supporting major bids and proposal. - Provide proactive support and financial / business analytics to the Mission and Operation segment. Includes performing general and customized analyses; trend analyses, sensitivity analyses, profitability analyses, financial modeling, decision modeling, and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives. - Maintain appropriate levels of communication with all levels of the organization and across various departments. - Prepare financial reports on a monthly basis including the forecast for SkyAlyne. - Conducts thorough research and analysis of variances to ensure data accuracy. - Supports the annual budgeting exercise for the Mission and Operation segment. - Analyzes current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital deployments. - Assists in the continued development & improvement of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, and Modeling tools. - Work on addressing poor performing assets and coordinate with operations to address. - Strong project management and leadership skills. - Implement ERP system. - Set-up accounting and FP&A finance organization. - Negotiation with sub-contractors. - Good knowledge of IFRS. FACTORS FOR SUCCESS: - Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance or Accounting. - Accounting designation required CPA (CA, CGA, CMA). - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business partner role including financial analysis / professional practice. - Experience in the Mission and Operation market. - Involved in major bids and proposal. - Demonstrates expertise in business analysis and financial modeling. - Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. - Strategic & Proactive thinker. - Strong interpersonal skills & Leadership abilities. - A customer first attitude and approach to business solutions. - Able to effectively support multiple analyses/ projects in a timely manner and prioritize work. - Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (with expertise in Excel). - Experience in preparing budgets/forecasts and working directly with business unit partners on developing strategy and variance analysis to forecast. - Exposure to Hyperion Essbase and Planning a plus. - Bilingual French and English.
