Practice Leader, Financial Risk Management

The Practice Leader, Financial Risk Management will be responsible for the financial risk oversight for iA Financial Group. Working closely with various stakeholders, the expert will lead the development and implementation of complex tools, systems and analytics that support the measurement, analysis, research and reporting of financial risks across the organization. This position reports to the Head of Risk Analytics and will be part of the Group Risk Management and Compliance

**Your responsabilities will be to**:

- Implement and lead a strong second line of defense financial risk oversight across all sectors of the organization. Act as an expert and resource person in the orientation and choice of practices in terms of financial risk management.
- Ensure that the work carried out under his supervision respects the orientations stipulated in the guidelines published by regulatory authorities and legal bodies.
- Advance and evolve the organization's practices in order to obtain a complete and holistic view of the financial risks affecting the organization, in cross-functional collaboration with various functions such as Investment, Treasury, Finance as well as with business line stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain the organization financial risk appetite and support our partners in measuring the impact of their decisions on the risk profile. Lead the effort of defining key risk indicators and establishing limits.
- Develop and maintain the group risk frameworks including policies/guidelines on credit risk, counterparty risk, liquidity risk and foreign exchange risk.
- Report periodically on the status of compliance against established limits contained in the policies and guidelines and also report on any emerging risks and significant events that could impact the risk profile.
- Participate in various risk committees and other relevant forums as responsible for monitoring financial risks across the organization.
- Provide support and oversight to the group capital contingency plan. Propose and implement improvements to existing practices.
- Collaborate as an expert in financial risks in the risk assessment of new products and initiatives.
- Provide effective challenge to the first line of defense, raise awareness, support our partners from other sectors and participate in the deployment of risk tools.
- Influence the validation process for models developed by the other sectors of the organization in order to mitigate model risk. Participate in this regard to advance and evolve the organization's practices, in line with industry practices.

**Do you have the profile?**
- Minimum of 10 years of recent experience related to capital markets and financial risk management.
- Advance degree in Finance, Business, Economy or related field.
- Self-motivated with proven track record in leading teams on complex mandates that involve multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional designation such as FRM or CFA is an asset.
