Both the SkyTrain lines operate out of BCRTC's Operations and Maintenance Centre in Burnaby, where more than 900 dedicated staff work in the areas of administration, engineering, elevator and escalator maintenance, field operations, vehicle maintenance, and wayside (station and guideway) maintenance.

**Responsibilities**:
OVERALL PURPOSE:
Identifies, locates, documents, records and verifies all BCRTC asset data according to defined asset data acquisition plans, processes and safety standards. Maintains asset and maintenance data and ensures accuracy and integrity of data and CAD drawings. Supports the Asset Management Supervisors to develop asset acquisition plans and templates, priorities and processes. Reviews and identifies gaps or inconsistencies in asset data and workflows. Uses Asset Management tools, software and data to create reports, analysis and support maintenance planning and asset management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Identifies, locates, documents, records and verifies all BCRTC asset data according to defined asset data acquisition plans, processes and safety standards by:
a. Evaluating and understanding asset data requirement, conditions and identification, including data sources, specifications, and safety standards;
b. Using data acquisition templates and data collection equipment such as handheld mobile devices to collect asset data;
c. Documenting asset data into Asset Management tools and software;
d. Conducting site visits and stakeholder meetings;
e. Compiling and reviewing records and CAD drawings from various sources;
f. Ensuring asset data and drawings accurately reflect asset configuration and/or site condition;
g. Ensuring configuration management is being practiced; and

h. Assisting in updating and maintaining CAD drawings, maps, reports and other Asset Management outputs as required.

2. Maintains asset data and maintenance data, and ensures data accuracy and integrity by:
a. Reviewing all asset data and CAD drawings collected from various resources;
b. Conducting site visit and working closely with stakeholders and team members to verify the data;
c. Ensuring conformance to Asset Management standards and system design;
d. Maintaining maintenance data including but not limited to procedures and manuals, work instructions, checklists, failure codes, star charts, etc.;
e. Maintaining asset data including but not limited to individual records and attributes, hierarchies, categories, sub-components, condition, bill of materials, etc.; and

f. Maintaining defined safety information such as hazards or personal protective equipment required for specific maintenance activities.

3. Supports the Asset Management Supervisors to develop asset acquisition plans and templates, priorities and processes by:
a. Creating asset data acquisition status reports;
b. Collaborating to implement improvements; and

c. Providing feedback based on experience gained while utilizing the templates and following the processes.

d. Provides regular status report, feedback and recommendations to the Supervisor.

4. Reviews and identifies gaps or inconsistencies in asset data and workflows by:
a. Making recommendations to resolve inconsistencies;
b. Collaborating to implement improvements; and

c. Working with the system support team to solve data integrity issues according to Asset Management data governance and standards.

5. Uses Asset Management tools, software and data to create reports, analysis and support maintenance planning and asset management by:
a. Providing asset data and related information upon request according to defined policies and processes;
c. Supporting Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, Engineering and Maintenance Managers to create annual maintenance plans and schedules;
d. Creating or supporting dashboards, reports and various other outputs as required; and

e. Conducting or supporting Asset Management data analysis as required.

6. Performs related duties as assigned, such as items of a minor nature that do not affect the value of the job.

**Qualifications**:
EDUCATION

A post-secondary diploma in a discipline related to Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
