TITLE/POSITION: Human Resources Generalist, Administration

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION: The individual in this role represents the human resources department of CPCI. HR Generalist is involved in different aspects of the HR functions, including but not limited to the orientation and onboarding of new hires, training employees about the company vision, mission, policies, and procedures, and providing support to all employees of CPCI.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- College Human Resources Diploma
- CHRP or working towards is preferred
- MS Office competency
- Knowledge of HR policies and procedures, employment law, the Code, and OHSA.
- 1-2 years minimum HR experience.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**:

- Implement and maintain new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Perform tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Maintain compliance with provincial employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human recourses, talent management, and employment law.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Human resources management: 1 year (preferred)
