Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll and Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital are actively seeking applicants for an Integrated Human Resources Generalist position. "Integrated" means that the successful incumbent will work at both hospital sites. Reporting to the Integrated Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist performs and coordinates as appropriate all activities relating to Human Resources for an assigned client group to achieve professional human resources administration and ongoing staff development and training in accordance with Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital (TDMH) and Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll (AHI) policies and procedures. **Key Responsibilities**: - Provide support and collaborate with Leadership regarding Employee and Labour Relation related requests and tasks. - Assist with recruitment efforts ensuring equal employment opportunities as required by legislation. - Back up for general orientation to all new team members. - Provide input in the preparation of the Human Resources budget. - Maintain a progressive and active training record of up to date documentation of training activity incorporating routine training of legal requirements such as health and safety and where appropriate design/carry out training to address specific needs liaising with the hospital Leaders for advice / guidance as required. Liaise with Employee Health and Wellness Nurse for Return to Work activities, for occupational and non-occupational illness/incidents. Prepare and submit Form 7 to WSIB, when required. - Work with Joint Health & Safety to ensure awareness and responsibility of Health and Safety. Act as an Employer Representative on the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee. - Collaborate with Leadership to ensure that systematic appraisal and succession planning is in operation in all service areas. - Maintain HRIS and associate documentation. - Assist in the grievance process as required. Collaborate with leadership to ensure that grievance and disciplinary matters are conducted and documented. - Work with leadership, unions and employees to ensure the Corporate Non-Union Compensation Policy and Pay Equity programs are maintained. - Network with regional hospitals by sharing ideas to contribute to proactive human resources initiatives and gaining maximum benefit from the knowledge of other representative/members of regional hospitals. - Maintain standard HR forms, procedures and policies of AHI/TDMH, where agreed, assist in the implementation of such. - Assist in other duties as assigned by the Integrated Manager, Human Resources in order to contribute to the effective implementation / maintenance of human resource related activities. - Assist Leadership to assess and improve team member satisfaction through engagement (assist with surveys, implementing best practices). - Maintain effective channels of communication between Leaders, Unions and Team members. - Administer the attendance management program and the tracking of trends. - Assist in the coordination of annual service and member recognition awards. - Participate/complete surveys on behalf of AHI/TDMH when required. - Performs duties in a manner that exemplifies and facilitates both quality and patient safety - Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications**: - A university degree and/or certificate/diploma in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation, or actively working towards obtaining the designation. - Minimum of 3 years' progressive HR experience in a generalist function. Experience in the health sector is advantageous. - Experience with collective agreements in a multi unionized setting. - Detail-orientated with good accuracy and analytical skills. - Strong ability to multitask and manage time effectively with strong organizational skills. - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization and provide superior customer service. - Ability to work effectively both independently and as a positive contributor to the team. - Self-motivated with demonstrated problem-solving skills. - Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet. **Other pertinent conditions**: - Salary as per the Non-Union Salary Schedule ($37.72 per hour to $44.14 per hour) - The hours of work will primarily be 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday.
