Leasing Administrative Assistant

The Leasing Administrative Assistant for the legal and leasing department is responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative support to the Legal and Leasing Department staff within the Corporate Head Office of West Edmonton Mall.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assisting with reviewing and interpreting various leases and making required revisions and amendments as per the terms of the negotiations and resulting agreements as directed by Senior Leasing Representatives.
- Providing various administrative support duties including drafting letters, scanning documents, responding to internal and external support inquires.
- Preparing and coordinating various business and legal correspondence and documentation while ensuring all timelines are met and adhered to.
- Acting as a liaison between the leasing department, property management, accounting, legal representation, construction, and the clients and tenants of the organization relating to leasing documentation matters.
- Working on a variety of unique initiatives and projects for West Edmonton Mall and assisting various other administrative duties and responsibilities as required.
Desired Qualifications:
- A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a similar fast paced corporate office environment in a Legal Assistant or Administrative Assistant or based role.
- Individuals with post-secondary education in a legal assistant, an office administration, or business administration programs are preferred.
- Previous legal assistance or retail/commercial real estate lease administration experience is a definite asset.
- Previous experience working with certificates of insurance is an asset.
- An extremely professional attitude and demeanor complemented by excellent client relations skills, a high attention to detail, and the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships.
- Experience working in a corporate environment dealing with Executives, Legal, Ownership, and various management and business styles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills complemented by the ability to work independently and make split-second decisions when required.
- Excellent typing and computer skills including a strong working knowledge of MS Office programs Word, Excel and Outlook as well the ability to adapt to other software programs as required.
- A strong business sense as well as the initiative to take on new responsibilities and duties as they arise and previous supervisory experience is a definite asset.
Terms of Employment:
- This is a full-time position required Monday through Friday.
- This is a salaried position that will depend on experience and qualifications.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
