**Job Title: HR & Payroll Administrator**
**Reporting to: Controller**
**Division: Toronto, VCI Controls Inc.**

The HR and Payroll Administrator will play an integral role within HR and the Finance Team by providing a broad range of human resources administrative and coordination services. The Administrator will perform payroll functions, recruiting, on boarding and off boarding, training & development, benefits administration, handle inquiries, administer employee programs and events, facilitate health and safety initiatives, and support other administration activities.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Principal Duties And Areas of Responsibilities**
**Payroll**
- Responsible for the bi-weekly payroll for approximately 40 employees.
- Data entry for all time and attendance.
- Prepare and maintain related payroll records, reports and government reporting.
- Prepare year end government reporting related to HR and Payroll.
- Responsible for reviewing and coding expense reporting.
**Human Resources**
- Assist with the hiring process, including advertising, recruiting and onboarding
- Maintain and update confidential employee records.
- Provide administrative support related to HR programs and policies.
- Prepare documents for new employees, including offer letters, benefit packages and payroll documents.
- Complete monthly reports.
- Administer employee Benefits & RRSP program.
- Process government security clearances.
- Administer company Health and Safety.
- Responsible for WSIB & WCB reporting.
- Responsible for training and development programs.
- Developing policies and procedures.
**Administration**
- Responsible for fleet administration (about 20 vehicles.).
- Co-ordinate Vaughan building facilities and security.
- Some office administration if required.
- Back up for accounts payable and reception on occasion.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIEINCE**
- Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (CPC) and knowledge of Quebec payroll administration.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years related work experience.
- Some Accounting or Accounts payable experience is an asset.
- CHRP designation or working towards completion is a plus.
**COMPUTER SKILLS**
- Accounting software experience would be a definite asset.
- Experience with ADP Pay at Work.
**OTHER SKILLS AND ACTIVITIES**
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
- Ability to handle a large and diverse number of projects, tasks and issues with tact, cooperation and persistence.
- Ability to prioritize work activities.
- Must have exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external clients.
