Payroll Assistant
Job Summary:
This Payroll Assistant role supports the accurate and timely processing of payroll using ADP, including maintaining employee data, generating reports, and assisting with audits, reconciliations, and year-end activities. The position requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and 1–2 years of hands-on ADP payroll experience, along with the ability to respond professionally to employee inquiries while maintaining confidentiality.

Woodbridge, ON. 100% on-site.
Compensation Structure
: $24.00-$28.00/hour (depending on experience).
Shift Structure:
Monday to Friday; 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the preparation and processing of regular payroll cycles using ADP
• Enter, update, and maintain employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and benefits
• Generate payroll reports and summaries using Excel and ADP reporting tools
• Support payroll audits and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and compliance
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely, professional manner
• Support year-end payroll activities, including T4 preparation and reconciliation
• Maintain organized and confidential payroll records and documentation
• Assist with statutory remittances and ensure deadlines are met
• Provide general administrative support to the payroll and HR team as required
Skills/Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
• 1–2 years of payroll experience using ADP (required)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating reports, using formulas, and data validation (required)
• Knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements is an asset
• Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Payroll certification (e.g., PCP) is considered an asset but not required
