**THE ROLE**: The Production & Equipment Readiness Technician will be required to work within a fast paced and dynamic production group to support the development and manufacturing of core technologies including cathodic protection tools to meet the needs of the growing business. In this role, the individual will also be responsible for inspecting, testing equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition and performing maintenance on equipment as well. **CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Assembly and manufacturing of a wide variety of cathodic protection materials.
- Effective communication with customers, truck drivers and couriers.
- Safely operate and maintain a wide variety of tools and job specific machinery including forklift, anotec seating machine and dual component polyurethane system.
- Communicate with materials manager on a wide array of day to day projects and responsibilities including stock orders, shipping coordinates and material manufacturing.
- Complete electro-mechanical assemblies through in-house training and assembly documentation
- Inspect equipment for damages, defects or missing parts, and report issues to the relevant personnel.
- Perform basic testing, cleaning and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Unpack equipment and pack equipment and accessories for transportation to the next scheduled project.
- Label and organize equipment to ensure easy access and retrieval.
- Coordinate with Logistics and field technicians to ensure equipment is available when needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide solutions to ensure proper operation.
- Keep accurate records of equipment received, tested, and dispatched on Asset Panda.
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organizational needs
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Ability to use Electronic test and process equipment and hand/power tools
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks, with consistent attention to detail
- Able to safely lift 50 lbs
- ability to handle cable and harness assembly (crimping, soldering)
- Excellent English verbal & written communication skills
- Able to follow complex and detailed technical documents with attention to procedure.
- Disciplined work ethic displaying initiative & requiring mínimal supervision.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Experience with evolving production processes, improvements, and implementations
- Able to work under pressure, with tight deadlines, and changing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- 1-3 years’ experience in a variety of Cathodic Protection assemblies or small batch electronic and mechanical equipment manufacturing an asset
- Assembly and warehouse experience an asset
**DAY IN THE LIFE**:
In this role, the working environment is fully onsite and the physical demands may include but are not limited to regularly siting, standing, reaching, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive physical activities. or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility.
