Production Technician

Edmonton, Canada NOV Inc. Full time

The production technician provides maintenance on machines/equipment, move materials within the shop, and sort both raw and finished goods.Based out of manufacturing facility in Edmonton,you will be part of a team that assembles products following proper procedures and safety rules.

**Essential Job Responsibilities**:

- Assemble products under tight tolerances while following all safety guidelines
- Refer to JHA’s for proper procedure
- Perform maintenance on machines, tools and/or equipment
- Move raw and scrap materials and equipment throughout shop with the use of an overhead crane or forklift
- Sort, pack and unpack raw materials and finished goods
- Participate and contribute in team production and safety toolbox meetings
- Perform general housekeeping duties
- Overtime work may be required and ability to work rotating shift
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualification Requirements **_(Minimum Education and Experience) _**:

- High school diploma
- 1 - 2years of experience as production technician or related roles
- Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment considered an asset;
- Previous stator production experience considered an asset;
- Forklift/crane operation experience considered an asset;
**Technical Requirements ( **_software or program knowledge needed _**)**:

- Microsoft Outlook considered an asset.

**Skills**:

- Able to read and follow written instructions;
- Able to work within a team;
- Mechanically inclined; experience with hand tools;
- Basic computer skills considered an asset.
