**Location: Blackshop Restaurant and Wine Bar**

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Effectively manage the front of the house team
- Ensure proper and efficient flow of service in the dining room
- Engage with guests and ensure they feel welcomed, comfortable and well looked after
- Keep an open line of communication with staff and other managers
- Manage day to day operations ie: booking functions, organizing staff, switching from lunch to dinner, etc.
- Assist in recruitment of front of house staff
- Oversee all front of house staff training, motivation and scheduling
- Perform workplace Health and Safety Inspections
- Conduct Health and Safety Information sessions
- Conduct employee training (WHMIS, Smart Serve, First Aid and CPR)
- Correct substandard acts or conditions
- Commend employees and supervisors Health and Safety performance
- Conduct Incident Investigations
- Follow the Sanitation Code and keeps floor dry and free of all obstacles
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Previous 1-3 years of Front of House management experience in a fast-paced, established hospitality setting is required
- Smart Serve Certification
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to operate efficiently with poise
- Strong time management skills
- Comfortable with computers, POS systems and learning new technology
- Ability to follow proper hygiene
- Behave in a professional manner at all times and act as a role model for all staff

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
