- **Employment Status**:_ Part-time, 28 hours per week, 9am - 4:30 pm, Tuesday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends as required.
- **Compensation**:_$21-23/hour, based on experience.

- **Position Description**_**:
- **Duties & Responsibilities**:_
1) Reception and Office Administration
- Introduce the Museum to visitors, orient them to the space, and ensure visitor satisfaction.
- Maintain the Museum’s administrative office files and manuals; assist the Archivist with records management tasks.
- Prepare and process weekly bank deposits and donation receipts.
- Manage the Museum’s Customer Relations Management (CRM) database.
- Coordinate facility rentals, inquiries, rental agreements, and scheduling.
- Manage the Museum’s Gift Shop, both in-house and online, including purchasing and inventory.
- Oversee the administration of special event registrations.
- Coordinate tours for individuals and groups as required.
2) Communications and Marketing
- Coordinate the promotion of Museum exhibitions and programs through the development of marketing campaigns and the production of high-quality promotional and advertising materials.
- Coordinate the Museum’s social media presence, writing and scheduling posts, and engaging with followers.
- Maintain the Museum’s WordPress-based website, keeping content fresh and up to date.
- Produce articles and press releases for newspaper and other media outlets, maintaining and expanding a database of contacts.
- Liaise with the Archivist to maintain press and marketing materials archive.
3) Museum Program
- Work as part of the Museum team to assist as needed in the development of exhibitions and special programming opportunities.
- Attend and support Museum events.
- Attend relevant committee meetings, provide written reports, as required, and attend Museum Board meetings when required.
- **Qualifications**:_
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software and the Adobe creative suite.
- Must be proficient in WordPress; advanced abilities are considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
- An appreciation and interest in local history is an asset.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 per week
