We are seeking an individual for the full-time position of “Junior Sales Representative/Project Coordination Specialist/Administrator” to become part of our sales and project team. The position will be a combination of active account management, growth with existing clients and new client development.
**About the opportunity**:
- Working with businesses and contractors to recommend our products and services utilizing effective sales skills
- Find and develop new customers to grow territory sales
- Assessing clients’ needs and presenting suitable products or services
- Utilizing internal product information and resources to grow new and existing accounts
- Build positive long-term relationships with customers by providing an excellent customer experience
- Work with team to monitor and analyze data and market conditions to identify competitive advantage
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for reporting and feedback
- Continuous learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with the industry
**Customers**:
- General contractors
- Door/frame/hardware suppliers
- Commercial business end-users
- Institutions (schools, hospitals, etc.)
- Property management companies
- Glazing companies
**Customer Service**:
Is the basis and foundation of everything we have accomplished. You will be demonstrating customer service to engage new and existing clients, gain the respect and trust of site contacts, site trades and Foremen. A full understanding and daily implementation of customer service is priority #1 within our company.
- Minimum of three years in an inside/outside sales position (preferred)
- Minimum three years in construction (preferred)
- Minimum two years in project coordination (preferred)
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on client retention
- Effective communication skills and proven ability to establish rapport and maintain relationships
- The ability and willingness to learn products and industry-specific knowledge
- Strong presentation capabilities
- Highly self-motivated
- Proven ability to manage conflict, coupled by the ability to work collaboratively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- The ability to travel by car
- Strong Microsoft skills (word, excel, etc.)
**A day in the life**:
- **Sales**_
- Site visits to determine client needs prior to pricing
- Tender reviews and take off preparation for assessment and quoting
- Costing of projects in preparation for finalizing estimates
- Submitting all quotations/bids in a timely manner to meet respective deadlines
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables for internal project coordinators to ensure successful execution of all projects
- Assist project coordinators in regards to questions/issues that arise in order to keep scope of work on track and in budget
- Be an active resource to clients and architectural/design firms regarding hardware specification requirements
- **Project Coordination**_
- Lead the planning and implementation of project
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Define and allocate project tasks and resource requirements
- Develop full scale project execution plans
- Manage pre-determined project budget
- Manage project resources
- Schedule project timelines to align with customer and constructor requirements
- Track project deliverables
- Provide direction and support to Installation & Service Team
- Quality assurance & quality control
- Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
- Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions
- Implement and manage project changes
- **Administration**:_
- Answering incoming calls
*On occasion, overtime and irregular work hours may be required in order to meet the operational needs of the business*
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company commercial fleet auto insurance (required)
- Attention to Detail:_ Your reporting details and ability to detect minor but influential details will be a daily requirement
- Time Management:_ You will be working with employees, constructors, customers, and management, often on multiple levels and on multiple projects
- Tracking and Budgeting:_ Project coordinators are expected to keep and maintain a budget on every project, budgetary hours are of the upmost expectation
