Ashfield Engage is looking to hire a Key Account Manager (KAM) in diabetes, that is a proven representative with a track record of meeting the needs of community specialists, general practitioners and other stakeholders of key clinics and hospitals departments. The KAM is responsible of driving awareness of diabetes and treatment among the community physicians, nurses and pharmacists in the assigned territory in addition to being responsible to coordinate the Key account plans within their own geography (for major accounts), working collaboratively with different stakeholders (internal and external) to build a common plan with the objective of answering the customer/clinic needs
The KAM will interact with HCPS and key clinic staff with a blend of field, virtual and digital through Omnichannel engagement to promote the diabetes brands of a well recognized innovative pharma company. The KAM will promote the value behind the brand and adapt to the customized needs of the clinic. The KAM will be reporting into the Ashfield Regional Manager, within a team of 11 KAMs.

Job Responsibilities:
- The KAM will have a blend of Field & Virtual engagement as well as leveraging a “Digital Tools” that will be available to you, allowing you to customize and personalize the customer engagement journey and drive greater impact, for your customers, their patients, and you.- In addition to HCPs, KAMs also call and target key clinic staff including but not exclusive to: office manager, nursing staff, pharmacists. You will need to be adaptable to the needs of HCPs and staff in both hospital/LTC and clinic settings- Entrepreneurial and curious mindset while seeking out solutions is critical to be able to really grow the partnership with the key accounts.- Manage plans by utilizing data to develop strategic key account plans and territory routing plans to maximize business opportunities- Academic detailing and/or promotion is only one aspect of your responsibilities. Other key activities/responsibilities include:
- Lunch & Learns, Journal Clubs etc.- Assisting in the coordination/implementation of Accredited Continuous Education Events and Other Learning Activities- Working with retail pharmacists to better answer the needs of patients and to help build connections with the network of HCPs in the patient journey- Collaboration with cross functional team members: Patient Service team, Internal sales rep MSL/Medical Affairs and Marketing/HO teams based on needs of Key accounts and HCPs- Congress attendance, customer relations development- Effectively manages expenses and budget to drive business- Develop comprehensive and insightful key account plans to build, manage and improve trustful relationships with key stakeholders whilst maximizing performance.- Complete weekly CRM entries and other administrative duties to effectively manager territory- Attend and complete all required training
Job Holder Specifications:
- Education: University degree is required (science/business degree preferred);- Fluently bilingual in French and English- 3 to 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience- Experience in diabetes is a strong asset- Proven track record of success (winning performance);- Strong business acumen;- Excellent presentation skills; Proven ability to communicate a message in an articulate & professional manner;- Dynamic, enthusiastic, and passionate individual;- Computer literacy; Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook;- Valid driver’s license
