**Opportunity**

**Position**:We are seeking a **Provincial Operations Manager, Central Ontario** to provide guidance and leadership in the development, maintenance and promotion of comprehensive services within the communities that we support. The key purpose of this role is to enhance and improve animal welfare and heighten public awareness and support for the Ontario SPCA, and its communities. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated people manager that thrives in creating efficient operations across multiple locations. Bonus - every location cares for animals

This role travels extensively throughout the province of Ontario to ensure the safe and efficient operations of designated centre locations.

**A Typical Day**
- Travel to Ontario SPCA locations to support centre managers and ensure optimal operational practices
- Ensure centre adherence to Ontario SPCA policies and procedures, including Shelter Health and Wellness animal care protocols and operational excellence
- Work with Finance and Chief Veterinary Officer to create a responsible budget for each location and ensure each centre adheres to guidelines
- Active role with human resource activities including staffing, training and development, and performance management
- Ensure all centres are properly and competently staffed with both employees and volunteers
- Work with centre managers to develop employee and volunteer engagement practices
- Research, report and provide strategic input to centre operations & best practices
- Various special projects as determined by the Chief Veterinary Officer

**Do You Have What It Takes?**
- 5 years of multi-unit experience in an operational role
- Diploma in Business Administration and/or equivalent education
- Resilient attitude when faced with unpredictable or emotionally demanding situations
- Demonstrated working knowledge and commitment to animal welfare practices and philosophies
- Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative management style
- Sound judgement and decision-making ability
- Ability to delegate to, motivate and mentor staff
- Valid G drivers licence with a clean driving record and reliable access to a vehicle
- Open availability including weekdays, weekends and holidays
