IT Asset Manager, North America

**Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility**:

- Responsible for IT asset management strategy for North America
- Process Owner for the IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes within ServiceNOW
- Gather, analyze, capitalize and maintain knowledge and data on Thales IT assets
- Manage the inventory of the IT assets deployed (internal and external)
- Ensure the use of software is compatible with its T&Cs
- Collaborate with both IT and non-IT stakeholders to ensure conformity with the company's Software Asset Management (SwAM) strategy for all IT assets. This includes existing assets and all new IT assets being deployed through the NORAM project portfolio
- Optimize the use of IT assets throughout their life cycle
- Lead regional continuous improvement activities related to Software Asset Management
- Work with IT Finance Director on continuous improvement activities related to Asset Management processes
- Collaborate with Procurement to insure proper license entitlement and optimization of costs for all IT assets
- Contribute to the financial analysis for month end and budget activity for designated IT cost centers
- Contribute to finance and operations meeting as required (investment committee, month end review, OPEX/CAPEX budget reviews.
- Process asset related Service requests assigned to the Asset management team.
- Work with security to maintain the Software Catalog.

**Minimum Requirements: Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language**:

- 3 to 5 years of experience, IT-related function (Procurement, Finance)
- 3 of 5 years of experience with IT/Engineering tools, processes, software and licensing
- Working knowledge within IT Functions of Service Desk, Networking, Data Center Operations
- Working knowledge of Licensing, Contracts, Procurement of IT assets - incl. renewals & maintenance
- 3 to 5 years in reporting, KPI’s, metrics, with data collection and analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Technology, Supply Chain of Finance with a minimum of 5-8+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree in the field of Information Technology, Supply Chain of Finance with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of technology products. Familiarity with IT asset management

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Software Asset Management Certification (CSAM)
- Member of IAITAM - International Association of IT Asset Managers
- Knowledge of IT licensing models, lifecycles, and portals
- 1-3 years working with ServiceNOW - IT Operations (ITOM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) modules
- IT Asset Audit support experience
- Software Catalog experience
- Experience managing assets in an organization with trade compliance and country eyes only requirements

**Travel**:

- Anticipate as much as 10% travel annually within North America
