We are FRAMOS, an international product-driven technology company of more than 180 amazing people from all over the world. We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our team in Ottawa to achieve our strategic goals and grow our organization further.
Reporting directly to the Director, Supply Chain & Production based in Europe, you will be the main driver of the local Supply Chain transformation in our North America growth region in alignment with the global end-to-end Supply Chain Strategy by pro-actively driving and communicating continuous improvement, automation and digitalization initiatives.
Your responsibilities:
- You will develop and maintain policies, processes, and internal controls for Operations
- You will act as a customer escalation point, coordinating supply chain and operations in the Northern American region (purchasing, orders and warehouse & logistics)
- You will provide training and guidance to the team and investigate anomalies as required
- You will manage team performance and engagement, including weekly coaching sessions, performance reviews, and team meetings
- You will maintain a partnership with the global Sales and Operations teams to ensure smooth procurement processes for customers
- You will define and implement the inventory strategy, including security stocking and strategic purchasing
- You will ensure timely processing of customer returns and complaints
- You will ensure supplier relationships are satisfactorily maintained
- You will prepare and analyze accurate and thorough inventory related reports for management
- You will act as the purchasing agent and oversee the customs compliance for NA
The role is based on-site in our office in Ottawa.
**YOUR PROFILE**:
As our Operations Manager, you live and breathe our company core values in all of your activities and drive them through your team. Besides being an excellent communicator and agile mind,
- You have over 5 years’ related experience; electronics industry or vision industry experience is an asset
- You have strong project management skills
- You are familiar with digitalization/automation and continuous improvement process
- You have customer service centre or purchasing experience
- You are a strong team player and have communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- You have experience solving complex problems, and exercising good judgement in decision-making
- You have the ability to simplify difficult problems into actionable and solvable tasks
- You are data-driven by nature, have strong attention to detail, and are obsessed with process improvement
