Overview:
Barnard-Flatiron Limited Partnership (“BFLP”), a joint venture between Barnard Constructors of Canada and Flatiron Constructors Canada, has been created to deliver Phase One of the Green Line LRT Project.

The Green Line LRT Project is the largest infrastructure initiative in the history of the City of Calgary, with $5.5 billion (CAD) in commitments from the Government of Canada, Government of Alberta and the City of Calgary. It will provide significant transportation benefits by expanding mobility choice and providing rapid and direct connections between communities, employment hubs and destinations between the southeast and downtown Calgary. Phase 1 includes 18 kilometers of dual light rail track, 13 passenger stations, 2 kilometers of underground tunneling, 9 major bridge structures including 1 kilometer of elevated guideway, and a 72-acre maintenance and storage facility.

As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will work under the direction of the Human Resources Manager to support activities and transactions related to the employee life-cycle. You will leverage your existing Human Resources experience to assist with recruitment efforts, coordinate new employee orientation and manage employee data. In this role, you will have the opportunity to further develop your Human Resources skillset and gain unparalleled career experience.

What you will be doing:

- Coordinates onboarding activites and arranges assests and access for division level new hires and internal transfers to support an engaging onboarding experience.
- Generates and submits employee information changes for new hires, transfers and terminations, including compensation adjustments, benefits enrollment and employee demographic data updates.
- Works with legal counsel to coordinate immigration efforts, ensuring Company and employee compliance.
- Develops and implements training programs to support the needs of the Project teams, in compliance with other partners.
- Compiles and analyzes national HR metrics, identifies trends, and creates reports to provide valuable insights in various areas to support business objectives.
- Implements human resources service and support by coordinating and delivering general human resources activities.
- Supports the coordination and preparation of recruiting events, as needed.

What we are looking for:

- Associate’s Degree or 2-year Diploma in a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience working in an HR function role.
- JD Edwards HRIS experience an asset
- Exceptional written communication skills for drafting and editing HR documents, reports, and presentations.
- Proven track record to take initiative and follow through with projects and meet deadlines with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Takes personal ownership and initiative with assigned tasks with high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
