**Director, Post-Secondary Engagement**:
Full-time Permanent

**Position Overview**:
The Director, Post-Secondary Engagement is responsible for leading the development and implementation of FP Canada’s Post-Secondary Engagement Strategy, through which FP Canada will deliver on key aspects of our 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, particularly our strategic pillar of supporting consumer access to professional financial planning.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Learning, Development and Professional Practice, and the Head of FP Canada Institute, the Director, Post-Secondary Engagement, with a strong background in both financial planning and adult education, develops, implements, and manages strategic partnerships with post-secondary institutions to grow the number of FP Canada certificants who complete technical and professional education leading to FP Canada certifications via post-secondary institutions.

**Key Responsibilities**:
In this role, you will:

- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for post-secondary partnerships in alignment with FP Canada’s organizational goals and based on the strategic direction set by the Vice-President, Learning, Development and Professional Practice and Head of the FP Canada Institute and the Executive Leadership Team.
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of standards-based partnership agreements with post-secondary institutions from across Canada, including criteria for assessing the suitability of institutions for entering into partnership agreements.
- Coordinate the development, implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of policies for the accreditation and recognition of post-secondary programming as part of post-secondary partnership agreements, to meet technical and professional education requirements established by FP Canada.
- Oversee post-secondary partnerships by establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), leading reporting activities, and implementing data-driven decision making.
- Establish and oversee the documentation of key processes and workflows related to the delivery of technical and professional education through post-secondary institutions to ensure consistency, compliance, and easy access to resources for students, faculty, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and manage the FP Canada Institute budget for the development and maintenance of post-secondary partnerships, to drive efficient resource allocation while supporting broader organizational budgeting processes.
- Contribute to organization-wide strategic initiatives, including workforce planning and engagement, workplace culture, risk management, technology adoption, and performance reports.
- Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to support cross-departmental initiatives in the delivery of education initiatives.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher - preferably an advanced degree in education, finance, or a related field.
- CFP certification or QAFP certification in good standing.
- 10+ years of client-facing financial planning experience and demonstrated history of progressive leadership in the financial planning industry, post-secondary education, or a related field.
- 3+ years of leadership experience overseeing staff, with a proven track record in strategic planning and execution, including budget responsibilities.
- Strong technical and professional knowledge of financial planning and extensive experience in developing financial planning content and programming.
- Strong project management skills with experience in managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Expertise in adult learning principles and practices, ideally in a financial planning context, especially in a virtual learning setting.
