PLASP Child Care Services is a charitable organization operating on a not-for-profit basis, providing high quality early learning and child care, for children up to 12 years of age. PLASP operates programs in more than 240 schools providing before and after school care. PLASP also operates over 30 full-day early learning and child care centres and six EarlyON locations for children from 0 - 6 years.

Reporting to the Manager of Program Services, the Curriculum Manager oversees and provides direct supervision and support to the PLASP Curriculum Department, EarlyON Lead and EarlyON programs.
**THE POSITION INVOLVES**
- Ensuring the provision of PLASP operational training that support staff in the delivery of high-quality programming for children and/or families.
- Leading and supervising teams that support operational training, program mentorship and program quality.
- Visiting PLASP sites to evaluate programs and provide feedback or identify training opportunities.
- Developing curriculum training to adults in small and large groups both in-person and virtually.
- Evaluating program quality and implementing processes and strategies that support program quality improvement using a variety of environment assessment tools including the AQI, CQI and the PQA.
- Employing best practices to plan and manage the ongoing implementation of PLASP EarlyON centres and programs in accordance with the Region of Peel EarlyON and Family Centres Business Practices and Funding Guideline
- Monitoring and analyzing community needs in partnership with network tables and EarlyON staff to ensure responsive programming for diverse communities
- Managing EarlyON budget allocation and being responsible for regular reporting to the Region of Peel
**THE PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**
- A post-secondary education in the field of Early Childhood Education and listed as in “Good Standing” with the College of Early Childhood Educators _(RECE)_ or education in Social Services field
- A minimum of five (5) years of related experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the _Child Care and Early Years Act_ _(CCEYA),_ policies and current issues in the field of child care
- Extensive _HighScope_ Curriculum knowledge and demonstrated knowledge in emergent, play-based curriculum with a strong understanding of _How Does Learning Happen? (HDLH?)_ Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years
- Experienced in the delivery of high-quality family support programs in EarlyON settings or other family support settings and sound knowledge of the Principles of Family Support
- Exceptional leadership, computer, and communication skills to meet the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Demonstrated skills in leadership development, supervision, planning, delivery, reporting and evaluation
- Effective presentation skills for large and small groups
- A Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel for program visits.
