Toronto, Canada Lamour cafe and Pastry Full time

Lamour cafe and Pastry is looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of tea and coffee. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience making hot and cold beverages and a good understanding of tea. Ultimately, you will make sure our drinks are excellent and our customers are satisfied.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare espresso and other drinks according to the barista training program
- Cleaning bar area, including but not limited to floors, windows and worktops
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Up-sell additional beverage items or special offers (e.g. teas or sandwiches)
- Give customers information on various beverages or ask them to taste samples (e.g. tea blends, single origin teas etc.)
- Make sure customers are satisfied
- Greet customers when entering the store
- Answer any questions about beverages or special menus
- Taking orders such as uber/doordash
- Make sure food preparation areas are clean
- Able to open and close the store

**Experience & Qualifications**
- Previous experience as a Barista preferred
- Experience making hot and cold beverages preferred but not required
- Knowledge of how to prepare coffee for various types of drink preferred but not required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Internship / Co-op

Pay: $16.55-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 25 per week
