Kontur Geotechnical Consultants Inc. (Kontur) is a full-service **Geotechnical Consulting Engineering** and **Material’s Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, and Soil)** Firm, that provides engineering consultation, construction field reviews, and construction materials testing, for a wide array of projects and clients throughout British Columbia and Alberta. Kontur is growing and is seeking a _**Dispatch**_ to become part of Kontur’s team. This position will be based at the main, Port Coquitlam, location. This is an hourly permanent position, with the expectation of full-time hours.

**Job Responsibilities will include, but not limited to**:

- **Schedule**: Schedule field and laboratory technicians for materials testing activities based on project requirements and priorities. Schedule hotels, flights and vehicle rentals as required.
- **Communication**: Communicate with project managers, clients, engineers, and field/laboratory technicians.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of dispatch testing activities, including schedules, client requests, change and cancellations/postponements.
- **Inventory**:Keep track and maintain inventory of materials testing field consumables and equipment, including gloves, safety PPE, and other necessary supplies. Ensure timely replenishment and proper storage to support field operations.
- **Vehicle Maintenance**:Upkeep of the Kontur fleet, ensuring all vehicles are in good working condition. Schedule regular servicing, manage repair needs, and maintain detailed records of vehicle status and maintenance activities.

**Job Requirements**:

- Must have a valid BC driver’s License.
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be an active listener;
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities;
- Experience as a dispatcher, and knowledge of Construction Materials Testing or relevant position would be an asset;
- Must have at least a Grade 12 High-school Diploma; and,
- Post-secondary certificates or training an asset.

Hourly wages will be commensurate to experience. This position is also eligible to participate in Kontur’s Group Benefits, performance incentives, and Continued Professional Development plans/policies.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Construction: 1 year (preferred)
- dispatching: 1 year (preferred)
