**The Role**

In this role, you are responsible for operations, maintenance and repair of plant equipment. You may supervise a medium size group of employees in a skilled area of work. Work requires the ability to make decisions based on established procedure. Work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS; focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE).
- You will conduct appropriate checks and tests, and communicate evaluation of results
- Recommends solutions to problems
- Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions
- Meet schedule and quality requirements
- Align with the terms of local and national labor agreements
- Implements divisional and corporate policies and safety and good housekeeping practices
- Maintain frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group
- Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment
- Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project. Has knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles

**Additional Responsibilities**
- Develop a proactive safety culture by engaging team members and peersin our safety processes
- Complete safety incident investigations and develop permanent corrective action
- Provide Leadership and direction to Skilled Tradesand providesupervision and direction to contractorswhen required
- Manage Equipment issues and Equipment Breakdowns, develop permanent corrective action
- Develop improvements to standard tasks usingSOP's,STS', Maximo andTaskInstructionSheets
- Lead /Participate incontinuous improvementevents
- Actively support Departmental meetings (Safety, TIP, Quality etc.)
- Support Production department in change management events
- Manage staffing levels for your Group
- Create new PMs,Maintenance PM processand PM scrubbing
- New employee orientation

**Requirements**:

- University degree / diploma / trade ticket or equivalent maintenance / industrial experience
- All Required Safety Training under GWSS
- All required Global Manufacturing System (GMS) Training
- Time and Attendance
- Layered Audit process
- Plant Monitoring and Controltraining
- Chemical Management training
- Practicaland technicalproblem solvingskills
- LabourRelations Training
- Previous plant floor experience in either a supervisory or engineering role
- Experience in a unionized environment
- Experience in SAP
- Experience in Engineering Change processes: TWO/EWO/PFC/PCP/TEB/PFMEA etc.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Must be willing to work any assigned shifts & weekend as required
