Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. As a Cafe Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, cashiering, and providing excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working on their own, in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for the food service industry. This position will be between 20-40 hours per week, and will be at our Breathing Room location

**Duties**:

- Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers
- Operate cash register and handle customer transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of food products
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the cafe
- Assist with basic kitchen tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a similar role is required
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures is a plus
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Please note that all positions at our cafe are paid positions, including internships. We offer competitive pay rates based on experience.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
