The Accounting & Accounts Payable team is responsible for all functions of the general accounting and accounts payable including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, tax interpretation and compliance, year-end audit preparation, budgets and forecasts, strategic analysis, and accounts payable transactions. To meet the requirements of the transformational growth and changing operational needs of the organization, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support in this important work
**Title**: Clerk - Accounts Payable
**Salary**: $45,909 - $57,386 - $63,125 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**: Permanent
**Hours**: 37.5 Hours, Monday - Friday (core hours 9am - 3pm)
**Location**: Park Royal, West Vancouver office location, on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations - 100% On-Site
**About the role**
As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of AP transactions. Additionally, you will ensure and verify the accuracy of invoices and cheque requests including appropriateness of taxes, determining level of rebates for each item. You will be working directly with the AP Administrator at a process level for information sharing and problem solving. You will report to the Supervisor, Accounting & Accounts Payable.
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Completion of Grade 12 and completion of an Accounting Diploma, plus 2-4 years of related work experience (preferably in a non-profit environment), or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Knowledge of accounting as it relates to AP
- Understanding of database management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software at an intermediate/advanced level
- Ability to conduct analysis with an attention to detail in order to research and escalate issues
- Ability to work with a variety of people in a team environment including department managers within the society as well as the First Nations Communities and AP Vendors
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.
