**PURPOSE**:
The purpose and necessity of this role is to complete all of the OVO Logistics & Transportation department’s customs and compliance requirements for all current inventory and incoming products that are met Internationally.

This is required to avoid delays, fines and any inconvenience that may disrupt the OVO business model when product is set to cross borders.

The Retail Customs Compliance Analyst will assess and provide all the necessary information and documents required to lower landed costs as well as avoid fines and ensure applicable products move duty free.

This is a remote position however, you may be required to come into the Head Quarter location from time to time.

**IMPACT ON BUSINESS**:
These are specific to the following shipments:

- Vendor Direct: moving product from the manufacturer directly to all International OVO locations
- Release Shipping: transporting product from DCOP to International OVO locations
- Inter-company Transfers: transporting product between OVO subsidiaries
- Promo Orders/Gifts: transporting products for promotional use
- Refund/Returns: transporting products to be returned to sender/manufacturer
- Miscellaneous: the transporting of any requests submitted to the Transportation department which involves crossing a border

**REPORTING**:
This position will report to the Logistics & Transportation Manager.

**TASKS**
- Outline Processing procedure to determine compliance requirements
- Determine Free Trade Agreements between all countries with OVO locations and all locations of manufacturers and vendors
- Outline participating countries
- Specify products and unique têxtile attributes that will qualify
- Clarify documents and declaration statements required
- HS code: specific to importing country, product action (first time shipping, returning, etc.)
- Outline country specific codes
- Applicable duty rates
- Temporary/Long Term Commercial Invoice Data
- Update CI with updated data
- Additional Documents: specific to product’s composition, existing Free Trade Agreements, importing country requirements
- Obtain templates for customization
- Confirm mandatory information and field
- Archive & Current Audit
- Assess files to ensure it is compliant with customs requirements
- Determine amendments
- Determine applicable refunds through assessed drawback eligibility and analyze costs
- Transportation Assistance
- Assist the Transportation team with freight in transit
- Review and update shipping documents appropriately
- Communicate with applicable brokers to provide required information

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in the customs and international trade industry
- Familiarity with FTA’s and Trade programs with accompanying declaration
- Experience with managing customs audit
- Experience with identifying and completing duty drawbacks
- Experience with International HTS classifications
- Product Database management
